Virtual Tour, Apa Itu?

 Pandemi covid 19 memunculkan gaya berwisata baru yang disebut virtual tour. Akibat pandemi yang bertahan selama hampir setahun, orang tidak lagi secara fisik bisa berwisata. Padahal berwisata adalah kegiatan yang mengharuskan orang-orang dengan tubuh dan jiwanya pergi ke suatu tempat; lalu menikmati suguhan alam lewat panca indera. Sekarang, berwisata dengan sifal total seperti itu tak lagi bisa menjamin kesenangan. Malah akan membawa petaka.

Namun demikian, teknologi menyediakan sebuah sistem yang memungkinkan orang berwisata dari rumah. Melalui rekayasa visual, seseorang bisa 'berjalan-jalan' ke sebuah tempat wisata. Jarak tidak lagi menghalangi orang untuk terhubung dengan sebuah objek wisata. Itulah yang disebut virtual tour.

Virtual tour mengandalkan narasi (cerita), foto, dan video. Ketiga elemen ini dipadukan dan berupaya menghadirkan pengalaman berwisata yang menyenangkan. Tour guide memandu wisatawan lewat suguhan cerita. Elemen cerita ini sangat penting sebab memegang peranan penting untuk menciptakan mind theatre di kepala wisatawan virtual. Sedangkan foto dan video berperan sebagai pelengkap agar narasi pemandu wisata mendapatkan kesan visual bagi wisatawan. 

Tantangan terbesar untuk keberhasilan dari virtual tour adalah kestabilan koneksi internet. Jika internet terkoneksi secara stabil, tour virtual tentu tidak akan memiliki kendala dan mendatangkan pengalaman yang mengasyikkan. Jika sebaliknya yang terjadi, tour virtual akan menyisakan pengalaman yang terfragmentasi dan serba tidak lengkap. Level nikmatnya akan merosot sampai ke dasar rasa kecewa.

Virtual tour tentu tidak bisa menggantikan pengalaman berwisata yang sesungguhnya. Sebab ia tidak melibatkan ke lima indera para wisatawan. Tour ini boleh dikatakan hanya dijadikan pengantar untuk berwisata yang sesungguhnya. 

Tour yang sesungguhnya akan mampu secara ajaib menyembuhkan jiwa dan raga. Virtual tour? Belum tentu.  

Setelah pandemi berlalu, semua orang dari seluruh dunia bisa berwisata kembali dengan bebas. Ada banyak nilai dan pelajaran saat berwisata. Salah satunya adalah bertemu dan mengenal lebih dekat kehidupan orang lain di bagian kehidupan yang lain. Virtual tour tidak bisa menghadirkan itu.*

Today we have just riding around Labuan Bajo town center. Since two weeks ago there was no rain, thus it feels now hotter than before.  Though, people still in their work under the sun, seems enjoying their daily activity all time. Proud of them!
